We’re looking for a Director, Information Security to join our Security & Compliance team. The Director, Information Security is responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure the confidentiality, integrity & availability of Hudl and its customers’ assets while managing reputational risk. The Director, under direction & partnership with the Hudl CISO, will mature & maintain the Hudl Information Security program. The Director will build and maintain strong relationships with multiple business & technical teams and maintain a deep level of expertise in multiple Information Security domains, including: architecture, engineering, operations, threat mitigation, incident response, cloud & application.

The Director will ensure effective controls support Hudl’s risk tolerance and maintain protection of its customers’ assets. Guided by strategic business plans & grounded in zero-trust principles, the Director will develop & evangelize information security policies & standards that support Hudl’s strategic objectives. The Director functions as a key leader within the Information Security & Compliance department and will lead a team of security engineers.

You’ll serve as an information security subject matter expert that supports the development, implementation & maintenance of information security for the enterprise.   • Technically Adept. You’ll lead and develop enterprise security architecture standards based on zero-trust principles. You’ll also bring experience implementing or architecting cloud-native & SaaS services, including Amazon AWS (preferred) or Microsoft Azure.
  • A strong communicator. You advise divisional leaders on risk issues related to information security and recommends actions in support of the divisions wider risk management and compliance programs.
  • Organized. Documentation and knowledge-sharing comes naturally to you. You value year-over-year improvements and monitor, measure & refine the execution of security plans against strategic & metrics: KRIs & KPIs
  • A constant learner. You strive not just to learn, but to apply what you’ve learned in your personal and professional life. You understand current & emerging security threats & evolve the program to mitigate risk as applicable, as well as staying abreast on new technologies, standards, and frameworks & integrate them into Hudl’s existing enterprise architecture & design where applicable

You also serve as an informal mentor & advisor to less experienced staff. You Will

  • Execute strategies that improve the efficacy, efficiency & reliability of information security enterprise wide
  • Lead others by empowering innovative approaches and motivating others to be proactive and resourceful.  Train, coach, and develop      team members
  • Apply your deep understanding of design and oversight of architecture, engineering, cloud, application, & operations within Information Security to ensure Hudl and its customers remain protected.
  • Provide strong security subject matter expertise spanning traditional, cloud & DevOps use cases
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to rapidly detect and respond to security incidents
  • Perform gap & standards analysis on Hudl’s software, systems and processes, adding automation to increase effectiveness.
  • Cultivate relationships with business stakeholders (engineering, product & business operations) and maintain an in-depth knowledge of strategic business plans in order to communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies.
  • Provide reporting and metrics to senior leadership (KRI’s & KPI’s).
  • Assess, prioritize and effectively communicate the severity of issues to stakeholders.
  • Bring 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Understand the applicability of FERPA, SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001/27002/27701:2019 and willingness to support a common control framework.
