Cloud Security Engineer

The Cloud Security Engineer will work with government and industry customers to automate cyber security functions using software code in CUI and classified AWS and Azure cloud environments. Perform system patching, log monitoring, vulnerability scanning, firewall maintenance, role-based access control administration, recursive DNS caching, and other duties. Responsibilities include:

• Apply knowledge of cybersecurity and cloud platforms to automate cloud security tasks (e.g. vulnerability scanning, log monitoring, system patching) in classified cloud environments
• Leverage fluency in cloud-native technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Istio service mesh, cloud-based NGFWs) to maintain cloud platform security and reliability for DoD and industry customers
• Perform on-site cybersecurity tasks in Arlington, VA with the potential for some remote work

Basic Qualifications:

• AA or AS degree
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or site reliability engineering
• DoD 8570 IAT or IAM certification level II or above, current in past 3 years

Desired Skills:

• BA or BS degree
• AWS or Azure certification
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or demonstrated knowledge of K8s

Security Clearance:

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Must meet DoD Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility
• Must be willing to complete a CI Polygraph
