Cyber Security Director

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a Cyber Security Director that will help lead Evolve Security’s growing team and support expansion into new markets. This role will work directly with Evolve Security leadership to grow the company in a strategic and thoughtful way while building a team of talented security professionals.

The Cyber Security Director will play a leading role in changing the way that the Evolve Security products are delivered. Devising and implementing a modern approach to cyber security and operationalizing our process to provide efficient, high quality and cost-effective solutions on demand.

We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background, along with a thorough understanding of cyber security and management. In addition, candidates should demonstrate knowledge of how information security integrates into, and impacts the business, and its value in business risk management, and have the capability to lead projects and steer small to medium size teams executing them.

Remote Work available for U.S. based candidates.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team of technical security professionals delivering services to clients
• Ensure exceptional delivery of security services and customer satisfaction
• Recruiting, hiring, managing, and supporting team members to retain top talent

• Leading the innovation of existing services and setting up new solutions depending on market demand
• Partnering with Business Development to earn new business
• Coaching your team members to grow and develop into experts
• Understanding and collaborating with broader team’s strategy
• Plan, build, configure, and optimize delivery products for high-performance, scalable, and profitable engagements.

Requirements

Are you the right fit?

• Minimum of 5 years of Cybersecurity experience in one or more of the following areas: Penetration Testing, Application Security, Vulnerability Management, Cloud (AWS / Azure), Security Assessments
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience growing team
• Comfortable leading and motivating highly talented teams ensuring that modern technology and process are implemented. You should be experienced in working with and presenting to senior management leadership.
• Good people and line management skills and the ability to recruit and develop a high performing team.

Preferences

• Experience leading small to medium size teams
• Deep professional experience in security services such as penetration testing, application security, vulnerability management, and training {part of delivering these services, have done it in the past, now making sure engage customer manage team escalation point kick off closing out project.
• Managed security service provider or security operations experience
• Solid understanding of security standards, frameworks and methodologies such as OWASP, NIST, and PCI

• Experience with various operating systems, network security technologies, web application development technologies, languages and frameworks such as Python, .Net, PHP, JavaScript, etc.
• Experience in developing thought leadership, conducting and publishing research, speaking at technical conferences or conducting technical trainings.
• Certifications in various technical domains are a strong asset
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects and assist/advise support your team in establishing appropriate priorities as well as demonstrated ability to manage client projects and portfolios
