Senior Security Analyst - Threat Hunting

Location:  

This is a remote role within the US.  

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Colorado, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

What you'll get to do...

As a senior member of the Threat Hunting team, you will assist in guiding the overall mission of the team through your extensive security background. You will be driving cross-team and cross company initiatives to enable our team to analyze, validate, and report on threats in our environment. You will work directly with product stakeholders and InfoSec leadership to report on threats found in our environments based on risk analysis and threat intel. 

• Collaborating with GoDaddy teams to continue to improve our security posture and be upstanding citizens within the security community
• Building out playbooks for threat identification, risk analysis, and cross team engagements.
• Analyzing malicious web content and malware reports to find opportunities for product improvement.
• Building visualization pipelines in ElasticSearch/Kibana.
• Designing and building ElasticSearch queries to detect malicious activities

Your experience should include...

• 5+ years working in Cyber Security field or relevant education
• Strong familiarity with Kibana and Elasticsearch and/or previous experience with Splunk or other visualization platforms
• Excellent understanding of web server configurations.
• Strong familiarity with CMS solutions (e.g. WordPress)
• Experience analyzing web logs, pcaps, access logs etc.
• Ability to write IDS signatures a plus
• Strong passion for security, innovation, and problem-solving
• Familiarity with 1 or more programming languages
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux), container technologies, networking protocols, and concepts
• Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)
