We are looking for an Engineering Manager to mature our capabilities and direct a team focusing on managing Information Security Risks, Controls, and Compliance at Spotify. As a leader in the Security organization, technical leadership, and a background in Governance, Risk and Compliance, or information security operations is meriting. 

Who you are

  • You are experienced in leading Security teams, preferably with a background in Information Security Risks, Controls, and Compliance
  • You have a passion for Information Security and using your knowledge to help Spotify manage Security risks
  • You have experience in security standards such as CIS Critical Security Controls, PCI DSS, SSAE 18, and ISO 27001  
  • You love developing and growing people and have a track record doing it
  • You have experience in encouraging and building a rapidly adaptable agile environment
  • You have experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders and helping them balance business needs with lowering existing risks
  • You care about information security and have great written and verbal communication skills

What you’ll do

  • Grow and lead a team of Risk Managers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development
  • Drive and be accountable for delivery and work with your team on strategy and execution
  • Facilitate collaboration with business leaders across the company in mitigating challenging risks 
  • Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values
  • Be an active part of the leadership team and collaborate with other leaders in the organisation
  • Work with the Security team, its stakeholders, and customers to develop and improve Spotify’s security posture
  • Work with the recruiting team to attract, onboard, and retain diverse top talent

  • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!
  • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location and is within working hours. 
  • Working hours? We operate within the Central European and GMT time zones for collaboration and ask that all be located in that time zone.
