This Role: As a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst, you’ll join Insikt Group - a multifaceted group of subject matter experts and threat analysts that supports products, services, and initiatives to meet both internal and client requirements.

In this role, you’ll lead Recorded Future’s ICS/SCADA collection and analysis. You’ll support client-driven finished intelligence reports on ICS/SCADA, lead industry threats and trends analysis, and offer expertise on prescriptive mitigation, policy, and decision making for ICS/SCADA relevant reporting. You’ll also contribute to self-initiated research and larger research projects involving multiple teams.

What you'll do as a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst: 

  • Research, track, and author reports on cyber threats to industrial environments 
  • Produce finished intelligence reports addressing clients’ priority requirements
  • Manage ongoing research projects on cyber threats to ICS/SCADA that will be posted on our blog
  • Provide guidance on the strategic direction of long-term research priorities
  • Collaborate with other Insikt Group members; review finished intelligence reports
  • Work with multiple internal teams to develop and improve our ICS/SCADA offering 
  • Identify primarydata sources to harvest into the Recorded Future platform 
  • Assist in curating entities in the Recorded Future platform to enable accurate collection
  • Drive external engagements as a subject matter expert in threats to ICS/SCADA (Ex. presenting intelligence reports to Recorded Future clients, prospects, or the wider intelligence community, and participating in media engagements)

What you'll bring to the Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst role (required):

  • BA/BS or MA/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Intelligence, Control and Automation Engineering, or similar
  • 5+ years hands on experience ICS/SCADA focused cybersecurity 
  • Demonstrable experience conducting technical threat analysis and research
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and other networking and industrial protocols
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills; ability to convey complex concepts
  • Hands-on experience with structured analytical techniques, the intelligence cycle, intelligence assessments, and intelligence writing techniques and methodologies
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a globally distributed team

Additional Skills / Experience (preferred but not required):

  • Experience writing network and endpoint signature detections using SNORT and YARA
  • Programming experience in Python, C, C++, or Java
  • Professional fluency in reading a foreign language
