This is an exciting opportunity to join Fortanix and play a leading role in the deployment of Confidential Computing. As a Cybersecurity Specialist at Fortanix, you will be responsible for developing innovative security solutions for customers using our Confidential Computing products and technology. Acting as the lead technical interface for customers, you will work alongside the Fortanix Sales team to transform customer security requirements into state-of-the-art data security solutions that support on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The Cybersecurity Specialist will:

  • Support the global Fortanix Sales team to provide deep technical expertise in Fortanix Confidential Computing products and technology.
  • Work with customers as a trusted partner, to identify data security objectives and policy requirements and manage POC evaluations.
  • Identify Fortanix products, partner solutions, and cloud services that support a robust and scalable solution architecture to address the customer use case.
  • Design and document scalable solution architectures in partnership with customer stakeholders through written reports, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Capture and communicate learning from customer projects to support the Fortanix Sales, Engineering, and Product Management teams.
  • Become a Fortanix subject matter expert in specific technical aspects of Confidential Computing deployment or industrial applications of this new technology.
  • Research and keep up to date with the cyber threat landscape addressed by Confidential Computing.
  • Contribute product demonstrations, whitepapers, and case studies, in support of Fortanix and partner marketing activity.

Requirements

Candidates for the role of Cybersecurity Specialist should demonstrate a track record of customer facing projects implementing security solutions to protect data and applications within datacenter environments or in the cloud. You should demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the modern cyber threat landscape and the tools and technologies to protect data at rest, in transit, and in use. Prior knowledge of Confidential Computing and technologies such as Intel® SGX will be beneficial, but training will be provided by Fortanix for the right candidate.

We are looking for a “hands-on” Cybersecurity Specialist that can work with our customers and our internal teams to deliver world-class Confidential Computing solutions. Demonstrable skills and experience in the following areas will support your application:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and technical information.
  • Experience operating as a trusted partner and single point-of-contact with customer stakeholders at CEO/CTO/CISO/VP level.
  • Leadership of the design and documentation of complex software and infrastructure solutions to protect sensitive data and applications.
  • A track record of delivering complex project requirements on time and to budget within dynamic and challenging applications and security environments.
  • Capable of working autonomously under pressure and a team player.
  • Experience of containerized application deployment and orchestration: e.g. Docker, Podman, Kubernetes.
  • Experience of data storage and data warehouse/platform solutions: e.g. SQL/NoSQL databases, Snowflake, Striim, Cloudera, AWS S3, Teradata.
  • Experience of AI/ML tooling and implementation: e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, Kafka, ONNX.
  • Knowledge of cloud services and security solutions; Azure, AWS, GCP.
  • Knowledge of Confidential Computing technology and its applications: e.g. Intel® SGX.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cryptographic methods and local/cloud key management.
