Senior QA Engineer (Web Threats, Protection for Hosting Providers)

SUMMARY:

Acronis brings advanced cyber protection solutions for web hosting providers. As a Senior QA Engineer at the Cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for testing strategy (E2E, Component, Backend, Agent, Front End), designing test plans and developing automated tests for cyber protection for hosting providers. You will work with Architects, Developers, Cybersecurity Analysts to ensure high quality of all components.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with product managers, developers, analysts to understand business and technical requirements
• Design test suites, plans and cases
• Manage QA activities through release cycle
• Automate execution of test cases as much as possible (on your own and with developers)
• Execute functional tests (automated and manual), report and process defects
• Collect comprehensive and relevant data for bug investigation
• Analyze customers' issues, investigate root causes, participate in technical discussions with RnD teams
• Mentor mid-level and junior QA engineers 

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years of experience as QA Engineer / QA Team Lead / QA Automation Engineer
• 1+ years of experience designing test cases and suites, being end-to-end responsible for final quality of a component/product/feature
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance theory: principles, methodologies and techniques
• Analytical mindset, ability to solve complex logical problems
• Confident skills of basic Linux system operations, including software installation, network configuration, general troubleshooting
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Any following item would be a plus:

• Background in web development or hosting support
• Understanding of common cyber attack techniques and methods; network protocols; vulnerability and configuration assessment
• Knowledge of Linux security subsystems, tools and conceptions, including logging abilities
• Skills in configuring at least one of: web / application / database servers running on Linux/UNIX
• Knowledge of PHP v5+ language
• Experience with virtualization, containerization and cloud technologies
