Job Description

We are currently looking for an IT Senior Security Engineer to join our growing team! In this role, you will report to the IT Manager, Security Engineering and will be responsible for engineering, implementing, and supporting various security solutions for the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with IT Ops and Architecture, Enterprise Cyber Security (ECS), and other key business organizations to support tools and automation focusing on, but not limited to, Linux based Operating Systems.

As an IT Senior Security Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Understand and Implement Security tools & automation (Operating System Deployment, Patch & Vulnerability Management, Software Distribution and Reporting)
  • Provide the day-to-day administration and engineering of security tools (serves as Subject Matter Expert)
  • Research problems and implement solutions based on standards and security best practices
  • Ability to automate complex or repetitive tasks between different platforms by leveraging both native and custom scripts between tools such as BigFix, Dynatrace, Nessus, CrowdStrike Falcon and ServiceNow

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 5+ years of experience with Security tools and Linux Engineering/Administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cyber Security
  • Familiarity with enterprise patching solutions (BigFix, MEMCM, etc.) and ITSM
  • Understanding of Zero-Trust principles
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging cyber threats
  • Strong technical understanding of various types of vulnerabilities and ability to assess risk associated with them and recommend appropriate remediation solution.
  • Self-motivated and continuous learning mindset, with ability to learn rapidly and apply advanced and emerging security principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on urgent tasks to meet immediate needs of the business and reduce risk by taking proactive measures
  • Excellent customer service skills

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Expert level knowledge of Linux Administration and Engineering (kernel level)
  • Experience with troubleshooting and remediating complex Linux operating system issues including, application installations, and security hardening issues.
  • Shell Scripting / Python / Powershell / Perl
  • API / Tools Integration
  • Implementation of Security tools (Endpoint Management, EDR, SIEM/SOAR, Zero Trust, etc.)
