Senior Security Engineer

Role Specific Duties:

• Responsible for day-to-day leadership of a technical team of security engineers and analysts providing a spectrum of information security capabilities: network IDS monitoring, DLP monitoring, cyber threat intelligence, security log analysis and forensics, and penetration testing 
• Protect users by performing internal security assessments, working to identify vulnerabilities, and providing remediation guidance to system/application owners 
• Join forces with Site Reliability Engineers and development teams to find new and creative ways to reduce the occurrence of vulnerabilities 
• Review quality issues and work towards detecting security flaws 
• Assist with prioritizing prospective projects, participating from start to completion 
• Will direct the development, implementation, and management of processes that ensure security countermeasures and monitoring are effective and sustained on all applicable systems 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Information Technology, Information Security or equivalent experience 
• 7 – 10 years’ experience in Information Security operations and/or incident response 
• CISSP OR CISM certification required  
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell) 
• Knowledge of all aspects of Security: Network security, incident response, vulnerability management, A&A process, End point security, DevSecOps. 
• security engineering experience with expertise in multiple security domains including, but not limited to, Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network Security, Cloud Security, Mobile Security, and Web Security 
• Experience in the Security Development Lifecycle 

Additional Requirements as per contract/client:

• Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 yearsand be Federal Tax compliant.
