In addition to the consolidated activity on high pressure pumps, CVIT developed the DNOX system for the reduction of nitrogen oxides from exhaust gases for commercial vehicles. In collaboration with the main car manufacturers and the parent company, it carries out activities in the field of engineering for applications on engines and vehicles, studies electronic systems for service and calibration on diesel, gasoline, hybrid and electric engines and recently also motorcycles, having facilities available for Testing activities, equipped with the most up-to-date equipment.

Job Description

What will you take care of?

The Cyber Security Engineer for Embedded SW Automotive Applications works for development of state of the art cross domain products, integrating HW electronics, embedded SW and Cloud services. The responsibility includes the definition and coordination of production relevant requirements for ECU-programming, ECU-individualization, activation of ECU-protection functions, involvement of all stakeholders in SW-, HW- and tool development as well as of production plant.

The resource will support the team in the following activities:                        

  • Coordinates security SW-specific requirements
  • Coordinates the HW and plant- security specific requirements
  • Coordinates requirements concerning tool-development (Flash programming / encryption / tuning protection / ASW-Container) and development environment (incl. SW-function-development)
  • Coordinates HW-related SW issues
  • Supports in the implementation at the plant, in production and in shifting to other productions sites
  • Supports the customer engineering team for the security engineering process topics by checking for production relevance
  • Watches over the roll-out in the SW projects

Qualifications

Education: Mechatronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent

Experience and know-how: 

  • Good system overview and understanding of the interaction of HW and SW in connection with powertrains.
  • Profound expertise with cyber security standards, eg ISO/SAE 21434 (minimum 3 years experience)
  • Background knowledge of Automotive-SPICE is beneficial

Language skills: Good English language skills required; in best case, basic knowledge of German language

Working Method: Independent and goal-oriented way of working, good analytical skills and coordination skills,  team player attitude within a diverse and multicultural environment, proactive working style, customer orientation.

Personality: High motivation and willingness to take responsibilities, self-standing personality, flexibility and ability to work under pressure. Availability for abroad assignments for short or medium periods as a nice-to-have.
