This person will have the opportunity to develop and execute a foundational compensation structure and benefits strategy that feels equitable and inclusive for team members all over the world.  You’ll be the go-to for compensation and benefits--we’ll look to you to provide us your assessments and lead us to insights  and innovative solutions.  Your work will have a significant impact on our ability to scale our business as we continue to attract and retain top talent around the world.  Sounds interesting?  Keep reading!

Here’s what you'll do

Compensation Programs

  • Adhere to an overall compensation philosophy
  • Conduct market compensation assessments, administer compensation structure and matrix, and make compensation recommendations to Chief People Officer and People Partners
  • Maintain a compensation matrix inclusive of department, geo-locations, level, cash compensation and options, and be able to align with changing both business needs and market trends
  • Prepare and own the bi-annual merit file
  • Design, plan and execute regular merit cycles for global organizational alignment 
  • Deliver compensation analyses for job changes and newly created positions using internal and external market data

Benefit Programs

  • Identify what Synack team members value from a benefits perspective in order to support the “whole” individual
  • Develop relationships with our benefit broker teams and collaborate innovatively to create competitive, cost-effective benefits strategy that aligns with our culture; facilitates implementation and enrollment for insurance and retirement plans.
  • Research employee benefits in similar industries; based on findings, recommend changes or updates to Synack’s existing benefits or policies
  • Ensure compliance with and filing of reports for OSHA, FLSA, FMLA/CFRA, COBRA, Pay Data and others
  • Point of contact for all team member leave policies and procedures; act as subject matter expert and educate team members, oversee entire process from team member’s initial notice of leave to a return to work status.
  • Keep up with current trends in the benefit space


Here’s what you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years in compensation administration, total rewards, or analyst experience
  • Strong experience in compensation market analysis
  • Previous experience owning the build of compensation matrixes for a global organization
  • Ability to translate large data sets into meaningful analytics
  • In depth knowledge of stock options and stock option grants
  • Comfortable working with market data tools such as Radford & Option Driver
  • Experience designing benefit plans for mid-sized organizations 
  • Proven ability to think critically and analyze complex problems or data
  • Detail oriented mindset with proven successful ability to work effectively in times which require speed and accuracy
  • Expert in using (and a love for) Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Attention to detail, accountability and accuracy is a must
  • Strong ethical standards 

Nice to have 

  • Experience with Namely HRIS 
  • Understanding of global benefit programs and providers

($95,000/yr - $187,500/yr) Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. The compensation package for this position may also include equity, and benefits.
