Global Information Security Intern

Model N Global Information Security team is looking for college students (who have completed their junior year) ready to jump start their career exposure with an internship. We offer unparalleled hands-on experience working in an exciting yet challenging industry. As an intern with the Global Information Security team at Model N, you will experience a supportive learning environment, opportunities to participate in meaningful work and have some fun! You will meet and work with kind and inspiring Model N’ers, become a member of the team and have access to Model N leaders. 
You will have the opportunity to get to know the other Model N interns and participate in workshops and training designed just for you and your peers.  In addition, each week there will be time for additional learning through LinkedIn Learning on topics to help you develop your skills and business acumen.  
Project Details: Provide support to Global Information Security in maturing compliance and privacy programs along with preparing Information Security requirements.  The duties will include Security Compliance, Risk Management, Preparing Processes and Procedural documents and meeting Global Information Security leader’s expectations.  

Weekly Duties:

• Discuss with existing stakeholders to understand the nature of engagement scope and evaluate assessment applicability  
• Assist in working on security compliance risk assessment  
• Document and communicate third party risks to appropriate partners  
• Assist in preparing project plan with support of GIS (Global Information Security) team members including preparing documentations and arranging meetings  
• Assist in remediation and reporting of the security compliance assessments  
• Assist in crafting and operating governance, frameworks, and processes to follow third party risk management  
• Perform security and compliance assessments on new and existing systems, processes, technology.   
• Work with various business units to ensure controls are adequate, appropriate, and effective.   
• Support internal and external audit process for relevant compliance concerns including ISO 27001, SOC1/SOC2 and Privacy Initiatives.   

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials  
• All majors welcome especially Information Technology, Security related 
• Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively within and across teams 
• Analytical and communication skills  
• Curiosity and desire to learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies  
• A guided self-starter and able to work independently with support and a passion for learning
