COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The Information Security unit within Engineering provides services to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and systems owned by Sportradar and its subsidiaries.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Application Security Development professional will be part of a newly established team, dedicated to fixing identified application-level vulnerabilities without interrupting regular product flow whilst coaching Tribe members in secure development practices. The successful candidate will work in a consultative capacity across multiple tribes, so should be comfortable in dipping in to help solve different problems with different teams, nationalities, and locations. Good interpersonal and communications skills are key.
The role will report directly into the Head of Secure Software Development and will be part of a multidisciplinary team of developers with experience in secure software development to deliver initiatives and guiding principles that will help identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within the products.
The Application Security Development professional will also work closely with Security 3rd parties (e.g. Bug Bounty platform operators) as well as our own internal Security Department.
The team has two main goals:
Lead the fix strategy to any vulnerabilities identified.
Work in a pair-programming style with the associated Tribe based developers to coach them in secure development practices and jointly mitigate the vulnerability.
THE CHALLENGE:
Respond to identified vulnerabilities in our applications without jeopardizing product roadmap.
Evangelize and coach all Tribes on secure design practices through development threat modelling sessions.
Parachute into existing tribes, under a pair-programming basis, to coach and fix identified issues.
Cross pollination of secure programming techniques and best practices across tribes.
Be on-hand as part of our incident response process should this be required.

You are interested in application security and thrive on having multiple problems to solve.
You are very comfortable in diving in and figuring the crux of a problem quickly and helping provide a solution to the team, whilst efficiently communicating the outcome to techies and non-techies alike.
Professional Requirements:
Degree in software development, or other relevant experience.
10+ years of experience as a software developer or DevOps professional.
Ability to manage, prioritize, remediate vulnerabilities like those on the OWASP Top10 list.
Excellent knowledge in one of the programming languages like Java, PHP, C# and frameworks like Spring.
Working in agile development teams.
Hands-on experience with test-driven development.
Experience with modern technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Protobuf, gRPC, and GraphQL.
Experience with automated deployments and containerized application management.
A personal interest in keeping up with the general trends of software product development and application security.
Good inter-personal and communication skills with fluency in English (written and spoken).
Desirable requirements:
Dev-ops experience (Docker, Kubernetes) .
Experience with AWS cloud services.
Experience with maintaining a large-scale and fault-tolerant distributed system in production.
Hands-on experience with message brokers (e.g. RabbitMq, Kafka), relational databases (e.g. MySQL), document oriented databases (e.g. MongoDB).
