Cyber Security Co-op- Remote

Please note: This position is for May-August 2023 (4-month work term), and is only available for current students and recent graduates from a post-secondary institution.

What You'll Be Doing

• You will learn about cyber security threats and risks and how to protect against them.
• You will learn and use enterprise security tools to detect malware and cyber attacks.
• You will gain hands-on experience in security operations, detection & response, endpoint protection, and risk management.
• You will be working collaboratively across the security and tech teams. 

Who You Are

• You have an interest in understanding how things work and have a customer minded approach towards problem solving.
• You think like a hacker on how to protect systems and data
• You embrace new challenges and like to learn new TTPs (tactics, techniques, and procedures).
• You enjoy working on teams and collaborating with teammates on resolving enterprise security issues.
• You are able to work autonomously, with minimal supervision or direction.
• You actively seek feedback from teammates and view feedback as an opportunity for growth.
• You have excellent oral and written communication skills.

A bonus if you have experience or an interest in any of the following!

• Hands-on IT experience
• Vulnerability management experience
• Ethical hacking experience
• SOC experience
• AWS and/or other cloud experience
