The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for delivering effective and efficient cyber intrusion detection, incident response, threat assessment, cyber intelligence, software security, and vulnerability assessment services.

Perform business analysis for software applications with an emphasis on cybersecurity. Identify issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and deliver risk analysis.

This position will require a minimum of 3 days per week on-site at our Rye, NY office and other days will be flexible to work off-site. #LI-Hybrid

  • Ensure security controls and practices align with Credit Union’s overall strategic direction.
  • Utilize security tools to work closely with Information Technology team to support user issues.
  • Support endpoint protection, vulnerability management, SIEM, phishing testing and network access control solutions.
  • Keep project teams up to date on the status of security measures.
  • Recommend design and process improvements for the security of software applications and activities.
  • Research, analyze, create, and maintain applicable security policies and procedures for the company’s software applications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor metrics to ensure application performance is acceptable.
  • Propose performance improvement strategies.
  • Support and troubleshoot security solutions.
  • Ensure that applications have strong data encryption in place.
  • Analyze security trends and provide expected result of recommended changes.
  • Proactively research emerging cyber threats. Apply analytical understanding of hacker methodologies and tactics, system vulnerabilities and key indicators of attacks and exploits.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and lead special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of a breadth of information technologies and information security topics.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on planned or emergency basis with the rest of the team to perform. upgrades or respond to active threats.
  • Familiarity with cyber security threats, defenses, motivations, and techniques.
  • Preferred 3-5 years related cyber threat intelligence and information security experience.
  • Preferred knowledge in the Financial Services industry.
