Information Security - Who We Are

The Information Security organization advances the overall state of security at Rubrik through critical initiatives and coordination of large security projects. Information Security builds technologies, tools, and processes to better enable teams at Rubrik to develop secure software and protect data and systems with appropriate security controls. Information Security also develops systems to monitor and respond to attacks against our systems, ensure compliance to certifications, laws and regulations, provides awareness education to teams on security best practices for data protection, and ensures data sharing relationships with third parties in order to securely protect Rubrik information.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will lead a team to ensure compliance to Rubrik’s security certifications and frameworks, plan and execute against Rubrik’s corporate security compliance objectives, and lead Rubrik’s business continuity planning and disaster recovery program.
 
Responsibilities

Ensure that Rubrik achieves and maintains certification and compliance obligations against SSAE 16 SOC 1, SOC 2/3, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, HIPAA/HITECH, SEC 17a-4/FINRA, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act, CSA STAR, EU Cloud Code of Conduct, HITRUST, BSI C5, PCI-DSS, and other evolving frameworks and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure they are properly managing security controls, understand their operations, and ensure compliance with standards.
Have knowledge and experience working with frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and experience supporting public sector certifications across the U.S. and other countries.
Exhibit a strong working knowledge of implementing security frameworks (such as those outlined above) in a Cloud-first and SaaS product environment.
Work closely with Product, Sales and Legal teams to advise and influence Rubrik’s certification and regulatory compliance strategy across global markets.
Play a lead role in proactively identifying security compliance requirements across Rubrik’s products, support operations, IT systems and infrastructure as the business evolves.
Lead Rubrik’s corporate security compliance program; plan and execute on critical initiatives across Finance, IT, Legal, Information Security, Engineering and other business areas.
Help external parties on projects related to security compliance or other related security initiatives.
Provide governance over internal assessments and external audits of the security compliance programs.
Be an expert in GRC tooling (e.g., ZenGRC and similar). Embed efficiency, agility and quality into all aspects of the security compliance program through processes and tooling.
Strategize, plan, execute and maintain Rubrik’s business continuity and disaster recovery (BCP/DR) program, and provide governance and oversight over the program.
Be a key contributor to Information Security’s metrics program to report on compliance and BCP/DR related metrics.
 
Ideal Background

7+ years in a software/SaaS company, or similar technology-driven environment.
Strong leadership skills, able to drive outcomes through collaboration and influence rather than through conventional “people management” authority.
Driven to organize, establish, and improve processes, balancing speed with internal relationships and consensus from stakeholders; bias for action, especially in working through ambiguity or resolving conflict.
Superb interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences, including C-Suite executives.
Bachelor’s degree required; in Information Security, Information Technology Management, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
CRISC, CISSP, CISA, FAIR, CRM, Cloud and other relevant certification(s) a plus.
