SIEM Lead

Mumbai/Pune/Noida/Bangalore

As a SIEM SME, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's IT infrastructure by leveraging your expertise in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. You will be responsible for the ongoing optimization, maintenance, and improvement of our SIEM environment, ensuring it effectively detects, investigates, and responds to security incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the SIEM platform, including configuration, log source management, rule development, and tuning for optimal performance.
  • Design, develop, and implement security correlation rules and alerts to identify potential threats and suspicious activity.
  • Investigate security incidents using the SIEM platform, analyze logs, and identify root causes.
  • Collaborate with the security team to develop and implement incident response procedures and playbooks.
  • Leverage SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) tools to automate incident response tasks and workflows.
  • Stay up to date on the latest SIEM technologies, threat intelligence, and security best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the security team on SIEM-related issues.
  • Participate in security assessments and vulnerability management activities.
  • Document SIEM processes, procedures, and configurations.

Qualifications

  • 7-8 years of experience working with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, MS Sentinel, LogRhythm, ArcSight, QRadar)
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing security correlation rules and alerts.
  • Strong understanding of security incident investigation and response methodologies (e.g., DFIR)
  • Experience with SOAR tools and security automation concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for security and a desire to stay up to date on the latest threats and vulnerabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in SIEM technologies (e.g., Splunk Certified Professional, ArcSight User Certification)
  • Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) for cloud environments.
  • Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
