Engineer, Cybersecurity - IAM ( Privilege access management), Chennai/Pune India

NIQ is looking to expand our Identity and Access Management (IAM) Program. To support this effort, we are looking for a Cyber Engineer. In this role, the Engineer will manage the entire lifecycle of the IAM product stack, placing a distinct focus on Cloud IAM and Privilege Access Management technologies, and associated processes to align with the enhancement of Identity and Access Management capabilities. The areas for this position are research, analysis, design, automation, integration, administration of day-to-day operations of the Identity and Access Management solutions and workflows. The candidate will be part of the on-call rotation and provide engineering support. 

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, manage, and secure On-Premises and Cloud-based infrastructure with a focus on IAM, PAM using DevOps tools like GitHub, Terraform and Kubernetes, Coding using Python, Go and PowerShell, preferably in Cloud services like Azure and AWS. 
  • Evaluate current IAM and PAM posture, and provide integration recommendations, ensuring compatibility with organizational objectives. Research, perform gap analysis, design, automate, and manage On-Premise and Cloud Identities and Access Management related processes. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand access management requirements. 
  • Develop and implement secure coding practices to mitigate risks associated with hardcoded secrets. 
  • Provide technical expertise and support for incident response related to Identity and Access management tools like CyberArk, SailPoint, Active Directory and Cloud. 
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Azure EntraID concepts, MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, and on-premise Active Directory. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise on IAM, PAM, Cloud services, Automation and Integrations of security related technologies and practices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Monitor and analyze key usage, providing insights for continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. 
  • Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to identify secret management risks. 
  • Design and implement secure sharing mechanisms for controlled access to secrets. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance our security posture. 
  • Manage identities across high availability, hybrid and multi cloud environments. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years focused on IAM, PAM, Cloud services, and DevOps. 
  • Good knowledge in Identity and Access management related technologies like CyberArk, SailPoint, Active Directory and other native Cloud IAM platforms. 
  • Ability to incorporate automated processes within Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with hands-On experience in coding with PowerShell, Python, Go, or other scripting languages along with usage of GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes. 
  • Strong knowledge in developing DevOps workflows in Cloud environments like Azure, AWS and GCP  
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and the identification of hardcoded secrets. 
  • Experience of working in Windows and Unix environments  
  • Understanding of the IAM cybersecurity landscape, including identity stores, authentication/authorization, and privileged access management capabilities and methodologies. 
  • Knowledge of key management principles, including rotation, expiration, and lifecycle. 
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and industry standards  
  • Proficient in operating within multi-cloud, DevOps, and CI/CD environments. 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.   
  • Must be able to communicate technical details in a clear, concise, understandable manner. 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP) is a plus.
