Job Description – Security Analyst- IAM (Okta)

Position:   Security Analyst – IAM

Grade/Level 6A

Employment Type: Employee - Full Time

Work Location: - India (Bengaluru, Pune, Noida)

• Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement Azure AD and IAM Architecture solutions based on the organization's requirements, security policies, and industry best practices.
• Provide prompt and accurate support to customers experiencing technical issues with Okta products.
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues related to authentication, authorization, application integration, and similar areas.
• Replicate customer environments to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Communicate effectively with customers through different channels (e.g., phone, email, chat) to understand their issues and provide clear guidance.
• Keep customers informed about the status of their issues and ensure a timely resolution.
• Work closely with other teams (e.g., engineering, product management) to escalate issues and follow through on resolutions.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate support.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Contribute to the company’s knowledge base by creating helpful articles and guides based on common customer inquiries and solutions.
• Assist customers with the implementation and integration of Okta solutions into their systems.
• Provide guidance on best practices for the deployment of Okta products.
• Conduct training sessions for customers to help them better understand and utilize Okta products.
• Stay updated with the latest Okta features and updates to provide accurate advice and support.
• Ensure that all support activities are conducted in compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Understand and adhere to compliance regulations relevant to the industries served by Okta.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of support processes and tools.

• Configure and manage Azure AD Connect to synchronize on-premises Active Directory with Azure AD.
• Develop and enforce IAM policies, procedures, and standards to ensure proper access controls, segregation of duties, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and security teams to integrate applications and systems with Azure AD for seamless authentication and authorization.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Azure AD and IAM services to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Conduct periodic access reviews, privilege audits, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks and security gaps.

Qualification and Work Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8-12 years of relevant work experience
• Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Okta solutions, including user administration, application integration, and customization.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Familiarity with directory services like Active Directory and LDAP.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of tasks and integration purposes.
• Understanding of API usage and integration with various platforms.
• Prior experience in a technical support or similar customer-facing role, dealing with complex customer environments.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to IAM, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and similar technologies.
• Certifications related to Okta (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator, Okta Certified Consultant) are highly beneficial.
• Other relevant certifications in the field of cybersecurity, networking, or cloud technologies (e.g., CISSP, CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) can also be advantageous.
