RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analyze video network performance to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal service levels.
  2. Implement and maintain high-quality video streaming systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
  3. Keep abreast of advancements in video technology to ensure Hotwire Communications remains innovative.
  4. Work with network engineers, software developers, vendors, project managers, and product managers to integrate video solutions.
  5. Offer guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.
  6. Create detailed documentation for system designs, processes, and procedures for internal use.
  7. Oversee the life cycle of all video-related products and services.
  8. Implement comprehensive testing programs, utilizing third-party testing to supplement internal efforts.
  9. Coordinate testing for product and application issues.
  10. Implement monitoring and automation capabilities to improve service reliability.
  11. Create and maintain a repository of knowledge to foster a learning culture within the team.
  12. Work with vendors on critical video platform technologies.
  13. As needed, participate in sessions with vendors and suppliers.
  14. Foster respectful and beneficial relationships with internal and external partners.
  15. Work with teams such as Product Management, Customer Service, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Material/Logistics.
  16. Monitor industry trends and product advancements.
  17. Research new technologies and processes, establishing testing environments.
  18. Act as the top-tier escalation point for customer issues.
  19. Ensure compliance with relevant specifications, standards, and regulations.
  20. Advise stakeholders on product status, gather feedback, and identify improvement areas.
  21. Participate in video industry groups.
  22. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the team.
  23. Perform Additional Duties: Carry out other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years in a technical leadership position within a Network and Security Engineering team, preferably at a service provider
  • Engineering degree in relevant field
  • Strong expertise in network design, implementation, and management.
  • Extensive experience with network security frameworks, protocols, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent strategic planning, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting to large groups
  • Results-oriented—ability to deliver results and strive to achieve excellence in all tasks and goals consistently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills demonstrated skill in requirements gathering, resource organization, and schedule development.
