Primary Duties

1. Administers company physical access control and video management systems and conducts regular reviews of data and process integrity. Establishes, implements, and advises leaders on the appropriate screening protocols for all visitors, guests, contingent workers, and vendors.

2. Monitors and assesses physical security systems and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulations. Supports corporate security strategy through the implementation of policies and procedures and maintain records to demonstrate compliance with security regulations.

3. Identifies needs, assesses gaps, and recommends appropriate action in relation to security programs and strategies. Advises senior leadership on enterprise-wide security strategies. Stays abreast of security trends and partners with IT Information Security on related matters.

4. Recommends, develops, and implements enterprise-wide security programs. Establishes standards for buildings, assets, and other facilities in accordance with federal compliance requirements. Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments to facilitate continuous improvement.

PHYSICAL SECURITY:

Supports and initiates the growth and development of the Atmos Energy Notification System. Explores opportunities to expand system functionality and increase workforce utilization.

Partners closely with outside security vendors and HR to ensure the support model on employee-related matters is clearly defined and aligns with Atmos Energy’s culture. Establishes trust with employees to encourage two-way communication and effective partnerships.

Evaluates and analyzes trends associated with security incidents, employee matters, and contingent workers. Partners with senior leaders in Safety, Security, Legal, and Risk Management to ensure the timely resolution of issues and effective risk mitigation. Develops enhanced security and prevention strategies, where applicable.

INFRASTRUCTURE PROTECTION:

Provides thorough technical evaluation and analysis of security data, monitors trends to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, supports security activities and initiatives, improves existing security processes, and implements new tools to bolster overall physical security posture.

Consults on the installation and integration of new or updated security systems during office remodel projects and new site builds, collaborating with project teams to ensure security requirements are met during construction and renovating projects.

Conducts regular threat, risk and vulnerability assessments of physical company properties and project sites/new builds to identify physical security risks; analyzes current events and the threat landscape to collaborate with local office management and corporate security teams to make and implement recommendations for security mitigation and enhancements.

Evaluate and assign appropriate security clearances for management and personnel based on the information and properties they need access to. Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive security protocols for personnel, visitors, and contractors to ensure the protection of organizational assets and information.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Experience Level:
Bachelor's degree and four years' experience in security, law enforcement or a related field; or equivalent.

Computer Skills:
Requires basic computer skills in order to utilize various software applications for developing documents, reports and graphics.

Communication Skills:
Requires the ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at a high level such as senior management on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.

Physical Demands:
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.

Work Conditions:
Works in an office environment.
