About the team

The chapter Technology & Engineering - Platform Engineering represents all experts who deliver DevOps capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to enhance those functional skillsets, improve E.ON’s DevOps tech stack and deliver a high level of cloud automation.

 

meaningful & challenging - Your tasks

  • Design and develop software components and APIs for E.ON's multicloud backplane product DORIE to offer and maintain IaC & PaC for product teams

  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance 

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues by deploying updates/ fixes 

  • Ensure overall quality of code base and documentation, avoid and remove technical debt.

  • Implement automation tools and frameworks for automatic code deployment (CI/CD) 

  • Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cyber security threats 

  • Support other developers and review their code for quality and conformity

  • Define requirements for and integrate with 3rd Party APIs of internal and external providers

 

authentic & ambitious - Your profile

  • You hold a university degree in Information Technology or equivalent, and bring solid development skills e.g. in multiple programming and scripting languages (e.g. Go, Pyphon, Bash, PowerShell ..), design patterns and architectural styles, API design

  • Fundamental understanding of container technologies as well as control theory and drift detection, IT infrastructure, networking, and security architectures

  • Familiarity with agile ways of working (e.g. DevSecOps, SCRUM)

  • Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines and containerization using Azure DevOps and Gitlab 

  • Experience in Infrastructure-as-a-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Google Cloud Resource Manager, AWS Cloud Control API Resources

  • You have experience status monitoring using cloud native tools or 3rd party (e.g. Prometheus, Cloudwatch, ...) 

  • Strong team player (m/f/d) with the ability to work with diverse groups of people in a productive and agile manner 

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
