We safeguard the personal information of 60+ million people and the financial information of some of the largest companies in the world. About the Role

Do you have a passion for security and business enablement?

In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the technical disposition of Workday’s enterprise technology environment, leading architectural security direction, providing strategic direction aligned to a balanced risk level, and generating executive-level reporting, collecting priority recommendations and security posture assessments. You will work alongside dedicated and innovative teams both inside and outside the Security organization to ensure integration of security-focused solutions into all aspects of delivery, focusing on partnering with Information Security’s teams to drive engagement early in project lifecycles.

About You

Basic qualifications

• 7+ years relevant application and/or infrastructure security experience, specifically in cloud-based environments

• 3+ years as an architect or technical leader in the area of Security

• Experience with software development and DevOps practices including development languages, tools and frameworks, build pipelines and deployment systems

• Experience in agile development processes

Other Qualifications

• Master facilitator driving creative technical decisions while considering conflicting viewpoints

• Experience crafting and operating large scale security solutions and to tackle problems through innovation

• Consistent track record of acting as an advocate gaining support for security initiatives in the larger organization;

• Proven results in working with key partners and executives from engineering organizations to automate and integrate security into their workflows and promote security practices like threat modeling, secure coding/configuration, and security review;

• Deep knowledge of Security fundamentals including access control, cryptography, vulnerability management, and security architecture practices.

• Very strong social skills and a product-focused mentality to build the right solutions for your customers;

• Ability to influence senior leadership on technology decisions and critical initiatives.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $172,000 USD - $258,000 USD

 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $163,400 USD - $282,000 USD
