What will your typical day look like?

Cyber security threats are constantly evolving, and the security solution landscape is becoming more complex. That’s why our work is more meaningful (and exciting) than ever. Always one step ahead, we support clients with being secure, vigilant, and resilient against cyber related threats through end-to-end advisory, implementation, and managed services. We’re a team of strategists, architects, engineers, and leaders that help clients understand and address security risks to build smarter, faster, and more connected futures.

As a Manager within Cyber Defence & Resilience, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a wide range of cyber security advisory, transformation and implementation projects to assist organisations with uplifting security operational capabilities, such as vulnerability management, security monitoring, threat intelligence, security platform orchestration and incident response. You will work with small specialist teams (locally and nationally) to support a wide range of leading organisations with a diverse range of cyber security projects.

 

About the team

In Adelaide our Cyber team has over 25 people, which is part of a national practice of over 600 people. Our Adelaide team includes a diverse range of capabilities including cyber defence and resilience, strategy and transformation and digital trust and identity. The team works with a wide variety of medium size organisations across energy and resources, public sector and financial services.

We are looking for an additional Manager to join our growing team within Cyber Defence & Resilience, with a focus on security operations advisory services. Not only will this provide significant opportunities to work with a wide variety of leading organisations across Australia, but it will also provide excellent learning opportunities that will accelerate your career in cyber security. The role will provide significant technical and professional skills training.

You will bring a diverse background in cyber security, having worked alone or in teams. You will bring experience managing risk across various cyber and technology risk domains, communication, and interpersonal skills, which will enable you to engage at all levels of an organisation in relation to the cyber agenda. You are a person who:

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Brings experience leading teams and delivering projects
  • Is passionate about helping clients navigate the complexity of cyber risk, platforms and security defence and resilience capabilities
  • Experience working with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO27001)
  • Experience working with a variety of security platforms, tools or managing infrastructure security
  • Brings a positive mindset and outlook which contributes strongly to the team culture
  • Is quick to learn, naturally inquisitive, a healthy level of professional scepticism and always up for a challenge 
  • Holds relevant industry or vendor cyber security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SANS)
  • Works best collaboratively – you thrive when working in a team in hybrid working environments! 
  • Is proactive in driving your career forward
  • Is passionate about technology
  • Understands the current trends, standards, and developments in cyber security
  • Ideally you will be having experience working in professional services in cyber or technology risk or have worked in security operations or architecture roles.

 Key activities you will deliver:

  • Scoping and delivering engagements across cyber security operations uplift, threat and risk analysis, design and implementation of security platforms
  • Leading small teams with diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for clients
  • Managing client relationships
  • Coaching and supporting junior team members to deliver successful engagement outcomes
  • Collaborating with colleagues both locally, nationally, and internationally to share and develop better practices
  • Participation in technical and professional skills training and development.
