What You Will Do

  • Monitor and respond to security events by leveraging SIEM, CIEM, CSPM, and other technologies.
  • Assist in improving security processes, alerting, and visibility.
  • Partner with team members to resolve security issues.
  • Operationalize cloud resources for reporting, alerting, and implementing security controls.
  • Partner with Engineering to perform Threat Modeling and Attack Graphing on solutions.
  • Reviewing IAM roles and Permissions.
  • Ensure security best practices for AWS and other cloud deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of professional experience as a security specialist.
  • 3+ years overall AWS experience. Certification strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably with CloudFormation.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience of scripting in languages such as Python or similar.
  • Experience with creating dashboards, alerts, and ingesting data with Splunk or similar technologies.
  • Experience with automating cloud-native technologies, securing applications and infrastructure.
  • Experience securing cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Github Actions and Code Deploy (AWS).
  • Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers and AWS serverless technology.
  • Good knowledge of Linux Basics and networking fundamentals, IP routing, load balancing and firewalls, VPN, DNS
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
