Mission:

The Head of Information Security is responsible for developing and implementing the organisation's information security strategy, ensuring compliance, and managing customer communications regarding security matters. This position will be remote-based in Europe. Ideal locations include: Serbia, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia and Romania. This position will be remote-based in Europe. Outcomes:

• Develop and oversee the organisation’s information security program and policies.
• Lead security operations, including threat management and incident response.
• Communicate security policies and incidents to customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001). Obtain certifications if needed.
• Conduct security assessments, audits, and training programs.
• Support secure development process, implement technical solutions ensuring minimal influence on the development process.
• Start as an Individual Contributor and gradually build high performance team.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, experience in building small and high performing organisations.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, technologies, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are preferred.
• Experience in obtaining ISO 27001 certification or equivalent.
• Advanced English, both written and spoken.
