Job Description

Leidos Australia is looking for a Microsoft 365 Security Engineer to join our team. Working as part of our multifunctional Capability team responsible for delivering and enhancing business critical services, ensuring the highest level of availability, performance, and security.

Under the direction of a designated Service Delivery Manager, perform the following functions as individual assignments or as part of a team: * Provide technical advice and direction for the ATO M365 Capability focused on security,

• Provide deep technical expertise on areas of cloud security, specifically for SaaS infrastructure, * Assist in the identification of technology deficiencies and provide solutions to remediate, * Evaluate technical releases, including vendor roadmaps and changes, for security concerns,
• Liaise with multiple security stakeholders to provide a highly secure environment,
• Contribute to the support and evolution of existing M365 services and in the on-boarding of new capabilities as part of an agile delivery team.

About you and what you will bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you are an experienced security engineer with an ability to work in a fast paced, agile environment. You will be part of a larger team providing support and expansion of the Microsoft 365 services to the ATO.

Your skills in the following areas will be highly valued:

• Experience working within a large multivendor environment,
•  Understanding of information security methodologies, standards and frameworks relating to cloud environments,
•  Experience in Government information assurance requirements including the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM),
• Well-developed technical skills in Microsoft 365 services, including complementary Azure services,
• Highly developed knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features, including implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance, including Defender suite (Identity, M365, Endpoint, Cloud Apps), Conditional Access, DLP, Microsoft Purview, Sensitivity Labels, PIM, PAM, MFA, Sentinel, Retention Policies.
• Highly developed knowledge of how the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and its interdependencies operate,
• Highly developed and demonstrated technical, interpersonal and communication skills, * Scripting and automation (e.g.PowerShell, TFS),
• Experience of working within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

The following specialized certification would be highly regarded.

Microsoft 365 Security Certification, including;

•  Security Administrator Associate,
•  Information Protection Administrator Associate,
•  Security Operations Analyst Associate,
•  Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
•  Microsoft 365 Certification
•  Cloud security certification (for example: CCSP, CCSK)

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and be ellegible to gain a Baseline Security Clearance
