Responsible for the creation of work plans and task definitions, oversees data collection and develops solutions to client problems with a focus on financial analysis and improvement. Leads and mentors team of consultants and/or other staff.Has financial and project management responsibilities for the project. The Security & Technology Engineering Group within our Buildings & Places sector are currently seeking an Associate/Principal Consultant.

The AECOM Security & Technology Engineering team is a specialist group within the Building Engineering Division and provides specialist Security & Technology design and support services to complement and enhance the design activities of the building engineering teams.The Buildings team consists of around 400 Engineers who work large scale construction projects and focus on projects specialisms in London and across the world. Some of the sectors we specialise in are; stadia, major commercial build and fit out projects, large mixed used developments and historical/listed buildings. This is a great opportunity to play a significant part on future construction projects in some major cities across Europe and the world.

To provide high level technical and strategic security engineering services on new build and fit out projects including:

  • Determination of Operational & Strategic Requirements
  • Undertake detailed assessment of relevant threats and the likelihood and consequences of these occurring to enable identification of risk severity and associated risk treatment
  • Physical Security Design - Develop concept, developed and technical design of physical security solutions such as Vehicle Security Barrier (VSB) systems, Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM), security fencing and walling, security doors and windows. 
  • Electronic Security Design - Develop concept, developed and technical design of electronic security solutions such as video surveillance, access control, intruder detection, intercom and security management systems.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • RSES, CSyP or PSPCommitment to CPD and personal development.
  • Prior experience in security engineering
  • Ability to manage projects independently
  • Multi-disciplinary experience
  • High-level of written and verbal communication
  • Able to present and work independently
  • Business development experience
  • Key Accountabilities: - Project Delivery - Ensure Projects are being managed and delivered to a high safety, commercial, and technical standard and appropriate company procedures are being followed.
  • Build The Team – Team development cognisant of projected pipeline and secured work. Staff Development - Develop individuals to allow the sustainable growth of the business.  Maximize the potential of team members.
  • As a specialist area Technical Project Manager, effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant qualification in security or engineering related discipline
