Job Description

The Solutions Principal role is a creative, outgoing pre-sales professional with a passion for technology evangelism, sales and custom solution development. The Solutions Principal is experienced at both evangelizing and architecting services solutions and a seasoned speaker and presenter around technology and how successful implementation relates to business outcomes.

The Solutions Principal is a unique role in our organization. You will help define and grow the services business by working directly with customers,  Services Sales, Core and Specialty sales,  Delivery leads, and subject matter experts across the full breadth of the PANW portfolio.  

You will work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, where your will enable our customers to achieve secure digital transformation through the construction of services solutions to deliver their desired business and technical outcomes

The successful candidate will be able to assist customers with planning for large-scale transformations in technology and recommend the appropriate blend of delivery services to leverage the value within the PANW portfolio

 

The Solutions Principal role will be responsible for: - 

 

  • Working with Services Sales to articulate our unique perspective on GTM services solutions and credentialing our delivery capabilities using success stories to meet customer needs. 
  • Gathering, understanding documenting, customer specific scope requirements and expectations for value based outcomes in workshop based scenarios.
  • Collaborating and working with Services Sales, Delivery and Global Practices to construct  solution proposals to satisfy customer specific scope requirements and value-based outcomes. Typical content could include: 
  • Scope objectives based on customer requirements 
  • Major project work streams, activities, deliverables, and timeline to achieve customer outcome
  • Levels of effort estimate for delivery and/or business partner resources 
  •  Critical assumptions that need to be true to support the project timeline and proposed service fees.

Your Impact

  • Together with the Services Sales team you will will be responsible for driving services revenue and overall business growth for PANW in your aligned territory

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • BS technical degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of technical consulting services experience, working within an IT or Cyber Security services organization
  • Self motivated and detail oriented
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to create technical documentation (SOWs, project timelines, etc) for sales and delivery teams
  • Ability to facilitate discovery workshops with cross functional customer resources and to prepare current state/future state roadmaps and services proposals
  • Pre-sales experience preferred
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure based security appliances, including but not limited to: Firewalls, SSL/IPSec VPNs, Security Proxies and Caches, Cloud environments including AWS, Azure and GCP and SOC environments desirable

If hired in Colorado, this position starts at $165,900/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock units and incentive or bonus pay may be provided as part of this compensation package.
