Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

We believe access to stable money is a human right. Almost two billion people around the world don't have a safe place to store their money or are excluded from financial services such as payments and credit. Struggles with inflationary currencies prevent families and communities from building basic economic security. To help solve this, we currently offer financial services in high inflation economies so that everyone can protect the value of their money. Our app users in Latin America can easily save and spend in US dollars, without worrying about their money devaluing overnight.

That said, we're not a bank. Reserve is a new way to store and move money, creating new saving and spending experiences beyond borders. We are actively expanding to new regions, and would love to explore if you could be a fit for our team! Please note that this role is focused on the App side of our business, and not the Protocol. Our app is currently utilized in 5 South American countries, and we are expanding it to the US and globally in the near future. We are seeking a seasoned security professional to lead the data governance aspects of the global expansion of our App business through the coming years, with the initial focus being acquiring a New York Bit License. You will lead the development and maintenance of our information security architecture, infrastructure, and processes that align with our company and product needs. You will be responsible for developing and ensuring adherence to information security governance, risk management, and compliance with security best practices. You will work in close collaboration with management, geographically spread business leaders and cross-functional support teams. This is an opportunity for you to develop, implement and enhance the Information Security and Data Protection framework in an international setting.

Requirements

• Experience leading data governance/security in an organization with global reach
• Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring a strategic, comprehensive information security and IT risk management program
• Strong understanding of the global data protection regulatory framework with a focus on GDPR and US data protection regulations
• Experience operating in high transaction environments with complex security, operational and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001
