Architecture & Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Architecture & Engineering Lead to become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes.  Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical, and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate.  This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. 

 

Location: Beltsville, MD or Rosslyn, VA.

 

In this role, you will: 

 

As a Team Leader of the Architecture and Engineering Team, you be empowered to lead a team of Engineers through the development of enterprise solutions throughout the engineering lifecycle. You will also support program teams responsible for designing, developing, installing, and documenting processes to hand off the management and maintenance of new solutions to our O&M team.

 

What you’ll do:

• Lead the Engineering and Architecture team, fostering growth, skill enhancement, and effective value delivery.
• Be able to proficiently break down requirements, evaluate various options/strategies, and prototype solutions.
• Illustrate technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders, while effectively conveying these concepts in solution strategy presentations to executive leadership teams and customers.
• You will be offered the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of emerging trends and technologies across different domains. 
• Set clear expectations and performance goals for the Engineering team.
• Seeking individuals who dive deep to identify problems and march back up with solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to enhance tool capabilities and address technical challenges.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years’ of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Relavant experience with a wide variety of cyber capabilities. 
• Possess one of the following certifications or be able to obtain before start date:
  • CASP+ CE; CCNA Cyber Ops; CCNA-Security; CCNP Security; CEH; CFR; CISA; CISSP (or Associate); Cloud+; CySA+; GCED; GCIA; GCIH; GICSP; SCYBER; VCA DCV; PPDA; Agile IC; SNOW App Dev
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearance. Must be able to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
