As a member of the Betsson Group Compliance team, your responsibilities will include working closely with the broader organization, delivering practical and commercially-focused technical compliance advice and support. Your role will involve conducting technical assessments of regulations, overseeing their implementation, and collaborating closely with (but not limited to) the Product Development Department, Engineering Department, Data Department and Information Security Department. Additionally, you will extend support to the Compliance team on all technical aspects of regulatory compliance. You will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the Group’s technical compliance strategy, collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders and representing the Group as necessary in Regulatory interactions and industry forums.

A Glimpse Into What Your Role Will Entail
- Responsible for building technical compliance frameworks pertaining to technical compliance requirements.
- Assume a leadership role in ensuring that technical infrastructure, applications, systems and processes of the Group align with applicable technical regulations, requirements and industry standards.
- Interpreting and advising on technical regulations, requirements and standards across relevant jurisdictions/markets.
- Carrying out technical compliance gap assessments/analyses across the relevant jurisdictions/markets in order to correctly advise the relevant teams on the implementation of technical solutions/products.
- Interacting with Regulators where and if required on technical compliance matters including reporting to (and producing reports for) Regulators as may be required.
- Foster a culture of regulatory compliance by reporting any identified technical compliance risks, gaps and proposing compliant technical solutions including driving their implementation.
- Staying abreast of global online gambling regulation, technical standards and emerging technical compliance trends.
- Acting as the main point of contact with Accredited Test Labs, Regulatory Authorities, technical consultants and cultivate strong working relationships.
- Direct and/or lead internal and external audits/certifications ensuring the Group’s adherence to technical compliance requirements.
- Implement robust technical compliance mechanisms for ongoing technical compliance monitoring and improvement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for their impact on technical compliance and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Lead the design, development and integration of innovative technical solutions to maintain technical compliance.
You excel in... 🌟
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related topic
- Certification in Information Technology Audit, such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a senior technical compliance role within the online gambling industry.
- Holds a very good understanding of industry best practices such as ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, ISO 31000 etc.
- Deep knowledge of global online gambling regulations, technical standards and technical compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change at a strategic level.
- Proven track record of working closely with key internal and external stakeholders within the online gambling industry.
- Strong technical experience in order to work comfortably with internal and external technical personnel (architects, developers, database administrators etc.)
- Ability to relate to non-technical business stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret technical compliance requirements into pragmatic business terms and drive their implementation throughout the organisation.
- High attention to detail, able to organise and prioritise work effectively.
- Self sufficient and ready to take initiative when necessary.
- Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and embrace change.
- Excellent command of English (verbal and written) and ideally other languages.
- Team player and solution oriented.
Exceptionally outstanding 🚀
- Certification in project management, such as PRINCE2 or equivalent.
- Knowledgeable in non-technical online gambling laws, regulations, requirement, standards etc (General Data Protection Regulation, Anti Money Laundering, Responsible Gambling etc).
- Good working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and other business tools.
- Experience in programming, XML and databases.
- Experience in data analytics, data architecture and data engineering.
- Experience in mobile application development and mobile store policies and processes (Apple App Store, Google Play Store etc.).
