Your Career

This Senior Professional Service Consultant position is an integral part of our mission within our Professional Services team. In this role, you will work on-site with our customer(s) supporting our mission to help them quickly and completely adopt our Security Operating Platform, leaving them more secure. This is a highly technical, hands-on role and you will develop and maintain expert level skill sets on our products and solutions deployed within the customer's environment.

As the Professional Service for Prisma Cloud, you will be the expert in delivering and deploying services of our offerings for cloud-based environments. You’ll identify complex security challenges in your customers’ cloud networks and drive solutions using our market-leading security services.

Your Impact

  • ​Develop and deliver detailed technology solutions through consulting project activities
  • Responsibilities include client identification through final invoicing for engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills
  • Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers working with your Account-Manager and the local partners within your territory
  • Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape that every customer needs to be aware of
  • Strategy planning for moving critical data, intellectual property, and high-demand applications to Public Cloud
  • Be the technical voice of Sales for all things related to security and compliance in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OCI, Alibaba)
  • Discuss, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace and effectively differentiate against them
  • Effectively lead and support customer demonstrations with our System Engineers that showcase our value
  • Interact locally and remotely with customers in an equally persuasive, confident manner
  • Act as the customers’ advocate for any issues that require technical assistance and follow up with the customer until the issue is resolved
  • Write code/scripts as needed
  • Provide design consultation and standard methodology mentorship for rollout, implementation, and policy conversion during the pre-sales process
  • Provide technical demos for strategic prospects and current accounts of Palo Alto Networks virtual offerings and integration in existing data center environments
  • Assist with the training of new System Engineers in their designated region in installs customer presentations, and internally-focused deal preparation activities
  • Help develop relationships with new Born-in-the-Cloud partners who will be integral in winning over new customers
  • Support relationship expansion with top existing partners for Public Cloud

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Practical experience with Public Cloud platforms, preferably Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS
  • Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, and/or GCP Cloud Deployment Manager Templates
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with using APIs in an automated fashion
  • Understanding of cybersecurity technologies, protocols, and applications - specifically around Cloud infrastructures
  • Understanding of Identity and Access Management/Role Based Access Control, Data Security specific to cloud infrastructures
  • Understanding of DevSecOps concepts and how to implement them
  • Experience with cloud networking models and connectivity, network security, virtualization, and cloud computing
  • Basic understanding of Cyber Security industry Compliance Standards/Best Practices (i.e. PCI-DSS, HIPAA, CIS Benchmarks, etc.)
  • Expertise with container orchestration services, preferably Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Gitlab, Chef, Ansible, or OpenShift
  • Basic understanding of Single Sign On capabilities/tools (Identity Providers such as Okta, Azure AD, Google, OneLogin, etc.)
  • Ability to deliver complex solutions in large customer environments individually or as a team leader
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure, and to prioritize tasks accordingly

Nice to Have

  • Background knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tooling and best practices
  • Expertise with container orchestration services, preferably Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g. Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Gitlab, Chef, Ansible, or OpenShift
  • Expertise with Python and API automation scripting
  • Additional Cloud Provider Experience - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Alibaba Cloud
  • Basic knowledge with third party security infrastructure tools (i.e. ServiceNow, Splunk, JIRA, Tenable, etc.

Travel

  • Up to 40% within the designated region, country, and/or theater plus some international business trips on ad-hoc basis
