About the role:
 

The Cloud Engineer will assist with implementation of a Cloud Native Application Platform Protection (CNAPP) solution across cross-functional teams. 

The role will also need to have strong cloud skills and have capability to work with vendors and internal stakeholders across multiple business units.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Help develop the enterprise environment that will secure Origin Energy’s cloud and application environment.
• Work with vendors, product owners and developers to implement the solution.
• Collaborate with the technical community in Origin to ensure processes align with project delivered operational standards/controls and recommended secure configuration improvements identified by the platform. 
• Work as part of a team to implement a solution that will minimise risk to existing operations and work to identify and reduce future vulnerabilities and risk of security breaches across the business.
• Contribute to the implementation of the CNAPP tooling across our cloud platforms predominantly on AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Microsoft Azure.
• Communicate and work effectively with colleagues and customers, understanding key stakeholders by being responsive to their needs and impacts to their business.
• Collaboration with cloud platform and technology teams to ensure that CNAPP capability is successfully integrated into Origin.

What will you bring?

• At least 5+ years of experience working in Cloud environments (AWS mandatory /Azure desirable).
• Cloud security, cloud infrastructure as code (IaC), Terraform/CloudFormation/AWS CDK
• Expertise in building infrastructure in AWS.
• Understanding of AWS IAM.
• Prior experience working on CNAPP security tooling.
• Good communication skills: ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
• Cloud security/cloud hardening best practices.
• Configuring and tuning cloud security monitoring capabilities.
• Understanding of findings management/vulnerability management.
• Experience delivering security solutions across a complex cyber landscape.
• Cloud native, with understanding of Agile & DevOps models and methodologies for operational environments.
