Job Description
As a Staff Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a key role in partnering with Business, Technology and Security stakeholders to implement, enhance and manage security practices, capabilities, and technical solutions to support TriNet’s multiple cloud environments and SaaS applications.  This role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent technical skills, and a proactive approach to security.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
•    Configure, optimize, and manage security policies for Extended Detection and Response (XDR) product suite.
•    Design, deploy and maintain Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms to streamline and automate incident response processes.
•    Implement and manage cloud security solutions and systems such as Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Cloud Infrastructure Entitlements Management (CIEM), Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP), and Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP).
•    Integrate security solutions with existing systems and applications to ensure seamless access control and authentication processes across the enterprise.
•    Oversee the lifecycle of security tools, including deployment, maintenance, and upgrades, to ensure optimal performance.
•    Tailor and optimize security tools to meet the needs and challenges of the organization’s infrastructure and security landscape.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide security guidance and support.
•    Work closely with security architect and other key stakeholders in the evaluation and selection of new tools based on latest industry trends and emerging threats.
•    Perform health check monitoring various security tools and components to ensure consistent quality of service and availability to end users that satisfies SLAs.
•    Create and maintain security configuration documentation, and standard operating procedures.
•    Maintain awareness of emerging threats related to cloud security and propose changes to mitigate them.
•    Research the latest cloud security tools, techniques, and leading practices.


JOB REQUIRMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, cyber security, or related field


Training Requirements (Licenses, Programs, Or Certificates)
•    Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
•    General security certification preferred (e.g., CISSP, GIAC)


Experience
•    Minimum of 8 years of work experience in cybersecurity
•    Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a cybersecurity engineer role
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Defender XDR suite (Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, Cloud Apps).
•    Experience administering and managing CASB solution such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps
•    Experience administering and managing Microsoft Defender for Cloud
•    Experience with KQL (or other query languages) and analytic rules.
•    Experience in scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell)

 

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•    Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, XDR, SOAR
•    Practical knowledge of risk management concepts such as risk treatment, exception management, compensating controls, and risk tolerance
•    Basic understanding of enterprise-wide technologies, including databases, operating systems, web applications, etc.
•    Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
•    Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
•    Ability to work with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams.
•    Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical teams.
•    Ability to employ professional skepticism.
•    Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, communication, and facilitation skills
•    A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace

The salary range for this role is $103,700 to $273,700. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
