Our growing Imunify Security team is looking for a Malware Analyst.

You will be responsible for analyzing various types of malware attacking the web hosting servers and creating improvements in our products that will help prevent infections for our clients in the future.

What you will do:

  • Analyze various types of web malware attacking the hosting servers around the world
  • Develop and improve methods for detecting and analyzing malicious files
  • Conduct and publish research on current security threats

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of web server software and hosting systems architectures (Linux/UNIX-based)
  • Good understanding of PHP language, proven experience in code analysis/scripting
  • Basic knowledge of regular expressions (PCRE). We expect you to know the difference between \A and ^, why you need to use modifiers (?: ...), why you should not start regexp with \w to find the fragment in a file, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of English no less than Intermediate

Preferred:

  • Experience in developing security tools, automation, and frameworks
  • Experience cleaning up websites from malware
  • Web-based malware reverse engineering skills (JS deobfuscation, PHP deobfuscation)
