Are you passionate about the newest trends in technology? Do you want to be part of Long View’s industry leading cloud security team? We are looking for a dynamic and results-focused Cloud Security Technical Architect for our Toronto branch who will utilize strong business and technical consulting skills to implement solutions that solve business challenges! You will work closely with delivery teams to support project planning and optimize the desired outcomes in all key accounts. 

A Day in the Life:

  • Work closely with architects to implement industry leading cloud security technical solutions by understanding client requirements through your savvy business and technical consulting skills
  • Work as a subject matter expert to deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation
  • Create detailed documentation including logical designs, physical designs, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition to operations information
  • Work with Long View business units and practices to ensure security sales opportunities progress efficiently and in a timely fashion towards successful closure
  • Keep abreast of relevant industry certifications and accreditations as aligned with key practices and technology partners

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8 + years’ experience with hybrid cloud or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management in a consulting environment
  • 5+ years of professional security industry experience across a wide range of technologies Cloud security, architectures, and concepts such as Zero Trust, cloud security posture management, cloud workload protection, Cloud code security and Cloud infrastructure entitlement management
  • Hands -on experience with the Microsoft technology stack including Azure, Purview, Sentinel, ENTRA, M365, Defender, Priva.
  • Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes , data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments.
  • Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, etc).  
  • Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), Next Gen Web Application Firewalls and Secure Web Gateways.  
  • Proficiency in data governance principles and familiarization with data compliance standards
  • Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc) and understanding of one or more cloud security standards and frameworks such as CIS, NIST, CSA, etc.
  • Understanding of Privacy Principles and Regulatory Compliance: This includes a deep understanding of global privacy laws and regulations like GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Bill C11 and others.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions.   
  • Professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely, scope/develop and review Statements of Work (SOW), work on multiple billable assignments at a time
  • Experience working in a hands-on capacity with clients in the delivery of solutions
  • Broad knowledge of multiple hardware and software technologies and strong experience in working with complex solutions comprising both
  • Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences including internal stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situations
