Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):Spry Methods is on the search for an ISSO to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The ISSO will be responsible for developing, modifying, and implementing security policies, procedures, and guidelines to safeguard the EDAS IT Portfolio and ensure compliance with FBI and NIST guidelines. This includes responding to security incidents, managing security infrastructure, and conducting regular vulnerability scans and POAM creation. The ISSO will also support obtaining and maintaining system ATO status.

What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Monitor systems and respond to security incidents.
• Manage security infrastructure, including firewalls and IDS.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and create POAMs.
• Support ATO status compliance and documentation.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):

• Top Secret Clearance is Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security.
• Knowledge of NIST and FBI security guidelines.
• Experience with security management tools (Risk Vision, Xacta).
