What you’ll be doing

As the Sr. Consultant, Information Security on the Identity and Access Services Management group within Information Security, you will interface with various partners and Lines of Business, equally focused on delivery excellence and continuous improvement in all disciplines and processes as they relate to identity and Access Management, specifically Access Certifications.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote

How You’ll Succeed

  • Consulting - Your subject matter expertise on IAM and Access Certification approaches and tools will help us deliver on new IAM initiatives. You will champion the improvement of Access Certification processes, controls and communications across stakeholder groups. Where required, consult with Operations, Technology and LOBs regarding access control related issues.

  • Project Management and Delivery - Provide support and deliver on requirements for Access Certifications in Identity and Access management initiatives as required to support the planning, design and execution of the initiatives and on-going support for access control activities.

  • Continuous Improvement & Reporting - You will be responsible for preparing management and/or executive reporting and other presentation material to communicate existing and new IAM initiatives and ensure successful adoption. You will focus on continuous improvement activities such as process enhancements and sustainable reporting process for governance will be key to your success.

  • Contribute to strategic plans, technology roadmaps, and standards and promote adherence to them. Drive the definition of our Access Certification roadmap including promoting adoption across the enterprise and enhancement of technical service capabilities. Stays abreast of industry technical and business trends through participation in professional associations, practice communities & individual learning.

  • Identity and Access Governance - Knowledge of Identity and Access Management approaches and concepts, tools, techniques and roles and responsibilities in providing guidance to stakeholders within and outside own area.

  • Relationship building - Build and maintain relationships with subject matter experts as well as external experts to stay abreast of notable developments and trends across the information security domain.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in Identity and Access Management. Experience developing and operationalizing Access Certification strategies. Experience developing sustainable Access Certification practice as it relates to Identity and Access management.

  • You can deliver on requirements for Identity and Access management initiatives as required to support the planning, design and execution of the initiatives and on-going support for access control activities.

  • You have experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ. Experience working with project teams on implementing IAM solutions such as SailPoint.

  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.

**Prior to starting in this role, security checks, including a criminal record check must be successfully completed to the satisfaction of CIBC. An annual criminal record check may also be required.
