Network Security Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Security Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This role is responsible for architecting and implementing Palo Alto and other security solutions in Microsoft Azure. This position is the opportunity for a great Enterprise Security and Networking Consultant to take their engineering, architecture, and implementation skills and translate them into the Cloud, specifically Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Design large enterprise solutions using the technical, application, and business requirements including capacity planning, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and testing, and logical and physical architecture design.
• Design, architect, and implement overall network and security solutions for customers, including the development of solution designs, implementation plans, and documentation.

• Determine detailed customer requirements.
• Assist in the review of designs with manufacturers in their technical discipline(s).
• Assist in developing SOWs (Statements of Work) or technical scope of large SOWs.
• Providing accurate services Level of Effort scoping using Coreteks LOE tool.
• Develop detailed implementation plans.
• Verify the accuracy of the parts list against project requirements.
• Update and Improve best practices templates

Requirements

• Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience in various LAN, MAN, and WAN architectures, troubleshooting, architecting, and building solutions with a security mindset.
• Required in-depth knowledge of a variety of networking methodologies including but not limited to: bridges, hubs, routers, Firewalls, and remote access technologies combined with security concepts.
• Deep technical expertise in Networking and Security in the Cloud is preferred
• Experience deploying Palo Alto or other Next Generation Firewalls
• Deep experience in building and delivering network and security services
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Strong understanding of how clients use technology to meet business objectives
• Strong work experience with online productivity tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills within the technology discipline
• Understand the Why and definition of project success for customer engagements
• Experience implementing Palo Alto VM Series firewalls in Azure or other public clouds
• Experience with Palo Alto product suite (Prisma, Traps, Access)
• Citrix NetScaler experience
• One or more of the following certifications - Palo Alto Networks PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE, Cisco Certified Network Associate -CCNA, CCNA-Wireless, CCNA-Security, CCNP-Security, AZ 103, AZ 500, AZ 900
