We are a dynamic and forward-thinking organization seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Governance team. As a Senior Consultant, you’ll play a critical role in shaping our technology strategy, optimizing processes, and driving innovation. Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Governance Consulting: Leverage your expertise to provide strategic advice and guidance to organizations. You’ll assess and enhance technology governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Enterprise Architecture: Dive into our organization’s Tech infrastructure, understanding its complexities and identifying opportunities for improvement. Your insights will drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Consulting Expertise: As a key member of our team, you’ll provide expert advice and recommendations to stakeholders. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly is essential.
  • Negotiation Skills: Reach agreements with stakeholders, balancing their needs with organizational goals.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Business Acumen: Understand the broader business context and align technology initiatives accordingly.

As a Senior Consultant, you'll play a vital role driving the overall strategic vision for one or more cyber capabilities in support of business and information risk management objectives. We'll count on you to provide guidance and expertise on making improvements based on industry trends and optimal practices. Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drives and/or implements continuous capability improvements across people, process and technology.

  • Provides thought leadership to and execution against the risk mitigation portfolio and information risk management maturity roadmaps, addressing current and emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Drives quality and efficiency through mature services and processes—Improves risk management services value for Nationwide by providing capability maturity models, metrics, key performance indicators and roadmaps.

  • Supports and helps construct moderate to complex Cyber business cases for capability initiatives.

  • Provides industry intelligence and innovation for capability improvements.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director, Risk Leader or above.

Typical Skills and Experiences: 

Education: Undergraduate studies (bachelor’s degree preferred) in cyber security, management information systems, engineering, math, computer science, data analytics or comparable experience and education strongly preferred. Graduate studies in cyber security, computer science or a related field are a plus.

License/Certification/Designation: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or another cyber certification preferred.

Experience: Ten years of experience in one or more cyber security capabilities. One to three years of experience in delivering technology solutions. Proven experience leading three or more cyber capability improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge and understanding of current and emerging risk trends along with mitigation strategies for one or more cyber capabilities. Ability to apply cyber security and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation). Skill in developing strategy, roadmaps and governance models in compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards. Aptitude to influence, build partnerships and set priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of associates, senior management and/or vendors. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus. 

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence. 

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. If a Sales job, Sales Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range.

The national salary range for Sr Consultant, Risk Management Capability Professional : $131,000.00-$250,000.00

The expected starting salary range for Sr Consultant, Risk Management Capability Professional : $142,000.00 - $212,000.00
