Job Description for Ping Identity Specialist

 

L1 Ping Identity Specialist

Responsibilities: 
- Monitor and maintain Ping Identity systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Respond to and resolve basic incidents and service requests related to Ping Identity products.
- Assist with user provisioning, de-provisioning, and role management.
- Perform routine system checks and generate reports on system health and performance.
- Troubleshoot PingID MFA issues on various endpoints (mobile, deskstop, etc), user registrations
- Support of overall Ping Federate and access core infrastructure 
     • Create federated partnerships with new business partners. 
     • Application onboarding - Assess, design, build, test and move to production. 
     • Certificate update/renewal for onboarded applications
- Document procedures and solutions for common issues and requests.

 

Qualifications: 
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of IAM concepts and Ping Identity products.
- Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow predefined processes.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service orientation.

 

L2 Ping Identity Specialist
Responsibilities: 
- Handle more complex incidents and service requests that L1 support cannot resolve.
- Implement changes and improvements to the Ping Identity infrastructure.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of IAM solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support of overall Ping Federate and access core infrastructure 
     • Create federated partnerships with new business partners. 
     • Application onboarding - Assess, design, build, test and move to production. 
     • Certificate update/renewal for onboarded applications

 

Qualifications: 
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience with IAM solutions, including Ping Identity products.
- Strong understanding of IAM principles, SSO, MFA, and directory services.
 - Strong knowledge of IAM protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and security standards.
- Proficient in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 

L3 Ping Identity Specialist
Responsibilities: 
- Act as a subject matter expert for Ping Identity solutions, providing advanced support and guidance.
- Implement complex changes and improvements to the Ping Identity infrastructure.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex IAM projects.
- Conduct root cause analysis for significant issues and develop permanent solutions.
- Mentor and train junior team members (L1 and L2 specialists).
- respond to and resolve incidents/requests, application onboarding
     • Support and troubleshoot existing partnerships. 
     • SSO certificates management 
     • Plan Certificate Renewal for onboarded applications
- Assist in Engineering related activities (Patching/DR)
- Stay updated with the latest developments in IAM technologies and best practices.


Qualifications: 
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with IAM solutions, with a focus on Ping Identity products.
- Extensive knowledge of IAM protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and security standards.
- Experience with large-scale IAM deployments and integrations.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.

 

Ping Identity Engineer
Responsibilities: 
- Design and architect scalable and secure Ping Identity solutions to meet business requirements.
- Escalation point for complex design and infrastructure/architecture related modifications
- Develop custom integrations and extensions for Ping Identity products.
- Perform in-depth analysis and optimization of IAM systems to enhance performance and security.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of IAM solutions.
- Develop and implement best practices, standards, and guidelines for IAM and Ping Identity Infrastructure.
- Perform patching and other activities related to remediation of security vulnerabilities. 
- Maintain and test Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures for SSO infrastructure 
- Coordinate with Ping vendor for resolution of any product issues

 

Qualifications: 
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience with IAM solutions, with extensive expertise in Ping Identity products.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying IAM solutions in large, complex environments.
- Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Java, Python, PowerShell).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

General Skills and Competencies:
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of IAM frameworks, Ping Identity suite, network security, and cloud technologies.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, customer service orientation, and ability to work under pressure.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Ping Identity Certified Professional, CISSP) are highly desirable.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with industry trends and evolving technologies in the IAM domain.
