Security Engineer, Sr. (Hybrid | Secret)

Title: Security Engineer, Sr.
Location: Gunter Annex - Montgomery, AL (Onsite two days a week)
Clearance: Active Secret or Higher Clearance Required

About this role:

• Rackner is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer who is interested in working in a fast-paced environment building and maintaining the Cloud Native Access Point (CNAP) for Platform One, an Air Force DevSecOps platform.
• Support the general operations, feature development, and day to day activities to manage enterprise operations for CNAP and integration with DAF/DoD initiatives such as zero trust and identity and feature deployment in classified environments.
• Work with Platform ONE Core Support, Feature Development, Operations, and Leadership and have a direct impact on the direction of CNAP.

We are seeking professionals with:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Cybersecurity experience with Linux operating systems
• Working with network and software vulnerability scanning tools
• Understanding of common software vulnerabilities
• XACTA and EMASS experience
• Specific knowledge of NIST RMF 800-53 controls

• Work with the Cybersecurity team by implementing industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
• Facilitating the ATO for a DevSecOps environment, maintaining DOD STIGs and RMF compliance
• Working with DevSecOps engineers to improve the cybersecurity of a cloud environment
• Ensure platform and networks are compliant with DoD policies 

Nice to have skills:

• CISSP
• Experience with Cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc) 
• General DevOps Experience a plus
• Experience with the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Ref Design
• Experience working with Docker containers or Kubernetes 
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CSSP) is a plus
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is a plus
