Job Description

To deliver universal sector leadership and expertise into Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) Africa Regions, originating relevant solutions to add value to the client while driving sector revenue and minimising risk exposure to BCB.  Accountable for the AR Sector Strategy and tactics, leading the capability in delivering evolving sector leadership and expertise into the bank and the broader client franchise. Leads the Sector commercial priorities through differentiation of client strategies.

Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks within the Oil and Gas, Mining, and Energy sectors. Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive performance and foster a culture of excellence.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, regulatory bodies, and industry associations. Identify emerging trends, technologies, and market developments to capitalize on new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

Oversee risk appetite , budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective execution of sector-specific initiatives. Monitor industry regulations, compliance requirements, and environmental considerations to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.

Minimum of 10 Years demonstrated experience as an industry thought leader, engaging and influencing key stakeholders across the sector (industry bodies, regulators).

Demonstrated ability to integrate Sector insights and solutioning (collaborating across multiple Product types and decision-makers) for clients that operate across multiple jurisdictions with different stakeholder requirements
