If you'd like to handle the most complex vulnerabilities, such as cross-site scripting or token forgery, with backend solutions built mostly in Java, you're in the right spot! What you'll do:

  • Engage with other Developers, UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, Quality Engineers, and Performance Engineers and report directly to your Engineering Manager;
  • Design backend solutions as part of a well-structured Team focused on Security Engineering;
  • Inspire creativity by coming up with new ideas for our products and processes and participating in innovations guided by other Developers;
  • Grow in proficiency under the mentoring wings of top-notch Atlassian Devs;
  • Care for the quality of Software developed with regard to Test-Driven Development methodology.

Your background:

  • At least 1 year of experience in commercial Software Development;
  • Knowledge of Java (however, experience with other OO languages and willingness to switch to Java is also welcome);
  • Knowledge of open-source tools, e.g. for logging, wiring, testing, and building;
  • Good architectural understanding of web applications;
  • Knowledge of coding reliable systems;
  • Experience in manual and automated testing;
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
