The Role
The Information Security Consultant position is an opportunity for a candidate who has deep knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Insider Threat/Risk Management (ITM) seeking to translate business needs into impactful security controls. As a key member of our team, you'll bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the Proofpoint Information Protection Suite effectively addresses information security and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities

• DLP & ITM Expertise; Own the DLP and ITM rule lifecycle, from collaborating with clients to define business requirements to translating them into technical rules using the Proofpoint Information Protection Suite.

• Deep Understanding of DLP & ITM; demonstrate a strong grasp of DLP and ITM concepts, including data classification, user behavior monitoring, and alert investigation.

• Rule Management; SME Manage the entire DLP and ITM rule lifecycle, encompassing business analysis, rule creation, configuration, testing, deployment, review, and retirement.

• Data Owner; collaborate with client stakeholders to understand their information security needs and translate them into actionable DLP and ITM policies.

• Technical Rule Architect; Craft and refine DLP and ITM rules leveraging the full capabilities of the Proofpoint Information Protection Suite to achieve optimal security posture.

• Testing & Monitoring Champion; Play a key role in testing and monitoring DLP and ITM rules to ensure effectiveness and identify potential improvements.

• Reporting; Assisting in monthly and quarterly business review reporting, and ad-hoc requests.

• Communication; clearly explain complex security concepts like data loss prevention, data classification and insider threat to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Knowledge Sharing; Actively share best practices and contribute to developing internal training materials for the People Centric Managed Services (PCMS) team.

What You Bring to the Team

• 4+ Years of experience working in Information Security, Service Delivery, Information Technology, Consulting, Operational or Enterprise Risk roles

• Previous experience with Proofpoint DLP products

• Previous experience with Proofpoint ITM or Insider Risk products

• Previous experience with Proofpoint CASB products

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview and Defender for Cloud Apps

• Analytical ability, consultative and communications skills, teamwork, and strong judgment

• Demonstrated experience and success with senior management service delivery and communication to include product deliverables, conference calls/meetings, consulting process interviews/workshops, and briefings

Desirable

• Recognised security professional certification such as Security+
