Administrative Assistant/Level III (Part-time)

KBR has a requirement for an Administrative Specialist to support Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) customers. Provide administrative support to the local KBR Program Manager and Project Managers. Typical duties include general clerical, receptionist, and project-based work. Responsibilities may be unique to a specific function or department such as procurement or engineering but are mainly administrative in nature. The skills acquired for this job are typically acquired through pursuing a higher education degree or certifications. The ideal candidate is working toward system administration, middleware certifications, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other cyber related education. With a goal of moving the candidate to a contract requiring a Top-Secret clearance once the clearance is approved which can take up to a year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle correspondence
  • Type, transcribe, and distribute documents such as memos, emails, and letters
  • Coordinate and prepares monthly status reports (MSR), program management plan (PMP), quarterly program management Review (QPMR), and other program briefings such as program status reports, requests for information, and other documentation as required in support of Program and Project Managers to provide our USSTRATCOM and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) customers.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
  • Assist with event planning and coordination
  • Develop and implement automation of office duties that are in accordance with KBR policies and directives

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience with phone systems and handling phone etiquette
  • The skills acquired for this job are typically acquired through a high school diploma and 2+ years of experience.
