JOB DESCRIPTION

To support and maintain the growth of Katalon, we're in need of a Security Engineer who will be a member of the Information Security Team and be responsible for the development & contribution to the Cyber Security program. The key scope of work will include system security design, deployment, and monitoring. You will also work closely with our Development team to implement all necessary processes to keep our platform highly available, efficient, and secure.

• Designing, implementing and monitoring security measures for the protection of computer systems, cyber networks and information;
• Defending systems against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction from daily internal and external threats;
• Developing technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks;
• Recognizing problems by identifying abnormalities, responding immediately to security incidents, coming up with post-incident analysis, and reporting security violations;
• Preparing and updating standard operating procedures and protocols.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of Cyber Security processes, tools & techniques;
• Familiar with security best practices for client-server product architectures, focusing predominantly on cloud-based server development;
• Hands-on experience in scripting languages such as Shell /Python /Perl / Ruby...;
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems, Docker, Log aggregation, and open-source;
• Experience with DB management: NoSQL, MySQL, MS SQL;
• Experience with cloud-based security management/IDS/IPS/SIEM tools, such as AWS Guarduty, Security Hub, Splunk, ELK Stack, etc. is a big plus;
• SysAdmin or DevOps background is an advantage;
• Having knowledge in ISO 27000 family, SOC2, GDPR, PCI-DSS is an advantage;
• Demonstrate good logical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Good at English in communication skills including oral and written.

Education/Training Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security related field or equivalent work experience;
• Technical 2+ years experience in Network Security, Security Operations, or Penetration Testing;
• Any equivalent certificate is an advantage.
