Job Description

About the opportunity 
As a Senior Platform Engineer - Identity at Griffith, you will be helping to develop and implement our identity governance and administration solution (using SailPoint).

Responsibilities
Reporting within the Cyber Security domain, the Senior Platform Engineer - Identity is responsible for:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
  • Design, configure, and customize workflows, connectors, and integration modules.
  • Develop and maintain role-based access controls (RBAC), policies, and entitlements.
  • Perform data analysis and identity data correlation across various systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to identity management solutions.
  • Participate in incident response and resolution activities related to identity and access management.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Document technical configurations, processes, and solutions.
  • Maintaining a current knowledge of existing and emerging security trends and sharing that knowledge with the University.

You will also have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityNOW (ISC) development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of identity governance and administration (IGA) concepts.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (such as Java, Python, Powershell and PL/SQL) for automation and integration purposes.
  • Experience with directory services (LDAP, Active Directory) and SSO technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, SOAP, and web services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SailPoint Certified Engineer) are a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in other identity platforms (NetIQ, Ping, AD, Azure) will be well regarded.

This is a full time, fixed term opportunity until 31/12/2025 based at the Griffith University Nathan campus.  As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

HEW 9 Salary - $126,882.22 - $131,419.05 + 17% super. Full package range - $148,452.20 - $153,760.28
